Ellie says that: to become a good Coach, you must be a good listener.
- the foundation of a great Coach is being a great student
- Coaches have internal listening skiils
- how can you expect to understand someone else if you are not listening to your own inner cues?

Uhmmm, Coaching Cognition fits right into Ellie's prescription. Takers?

Mike, you listen to your own inner cues. Learning to obey those cues and resulted in success, that brings confidence, growing what Eric calls "traction and leadership". Now as you have stated, investing in coaching with Ellie has brought incredible returns, that resists the recession. You too, like Ellie said, are your own commodity.

Thanks again, friend.

Dear Mike,

Ellie is fascinating to me.

I signed up for Ellie's email lists right after her wonderful webinar. In the last few days, I've clicked around her sites a bit.

While I'm just getting to know Ellie as a coach, what she teaches and what she offers to her clients, there is something else that all Marketing Merge students can gain from her too.

Ellie is a masterful marketer--and she is marketing largely to women.

I have been reading books about how women need to have community, need to connect, need ways to save time and need very personal relationships with the products and services they prefer to buy. For the last few months, I've been searching for examples about how that looks so I can create that myself. What does "community" look like in a marketing campaign?

Ellie knows.

So far, everything Ellie has sent me shows me that she understands reaching women. (She does many similar things that Oprah does.) Her sites are designed beautifully (one of my theories is that women will respond to beauty more than plainness. I have yet to be able to test this theory) Her sites are community based. The video she sent me was labeled "Inspiration in only 10 minutes"--for the busy woman. And her topics are all about connecting--connecting to ourselves, connecting to each other, connecting to the world around us.

Thank you for introducing Ellie to me.

I look forward to hearing more from her about coaching. And I look forward to learning more from her about how to reach the market that I want to serve.

Thank you Mike. So far, everyone that Marketing Merge has introduced to me has been a winner!

I´m glad you recorded it, because not only was it scientific-kind-of approach to a non-scientific issue(yet ;) ), but also like a good visit to a shrink, thanks!

It was really impressive on how she taught on subjective matter but made it tangible - great stuff.

You know what would be great? how about letting us download that talk. I like to listen to audio's at the gym, and I could listen to Ellie's talk over and over and over again. I would be happy to pay for it too.

If this sounds like a good idea to you, I would also like to be able to download the Bausley-Hanfilleti webinars on the consultative approach. I would like to listen to those, until the info. seeps into my bones. . .

thanks for all you do Mike,
Ellen

To those who still are not sure if coaching skills are really necessary in business or only great to have in life!
Imagine you could not only listen to words said. Imagine you could listen to yourself, to what you are meant to be no matter how the circumstances are. Imagine you could listen even to what is unsaid behind the words what people really say, feel, want and need without having said it.
Imagine you could listen not only with your ears that are directly connected to the left brain but with your gutts, your whole body - Ellie called it visceral listening: I love that word! It is my most recent wonderful addition to my vocabulary - thus including the right brain. Imagine you could listen with all your being.
And not enough, imagine you could listen for what you are up to, for your purpose fulfilled.
And on top, imagine you could also listen from acknowledgement, love, acceptance, partnership...
Wouldn´t it be worthwile to learn and train this wonderful world behind the words said, this wonderful incredibly useful and fulfilling asset of LISTENING!
I can never get enough of it since there is always more to find and learn in the service of relationships, business, supporting people in what they are up to, supporting your team....
Within an hour Ellie found the words others have to write meters of books about it. Thank you so much Ellie, Mike, DiDi and the whole Renegade team. And thank you for recording this call. So we can listen to it over and over getting more of that world of listening each time we do so.
And by the way it is the same with Barbara Silva´s calls. Don´t miss them either.

Absolutely fantastic webinar with Ellie Drake. Her information flows so beautifully and is right on the mark. You feel her compassion and inner strength through her voice. It is remarkable how the "right" information just keeps flowing once we allow our hearts to open to the idea. Since I committed to becoming a coach I can't tell you how much wonderful people have entered my life. Thank you Mike for always be at the front of the movement with marketing and powerful information. I look forward to learning more about your coaching program with Barbara Silva and the Renegade Professionals.

Mike, I have heard you share about Ellie and her impact on you and your life so often, my expectations were very, very high. But Ellie still knocked it out of the park! If this one concept of listening with your whole self is what folks take away, what a gift has been given.

And Ellie is so right -- the first person to listen to is ourselves. The answers really are within and when we tap into our own intuitions and deep desires, we find our purpose. A life lived with purpose is already a success.

Ever since listening to Ellie speak, I have checked the direction in which my toes are pointing. LOL Forward...ever forward!

Thanks so much, Mike, for introducing Dr Ellie Drake and sharing her wisdom with us. I enjoyed the webinar thoroughly and posted a summary on betternetworker to encourage more networkers to tune in to the recording and your upcoming Coaching Cognition. Your sincere introduction, sharing the value you place upon your association with Dr Drake, was very moving and the reasons were obvious after listening to her. She projects that intuitive understanding in her words as well as in her listening skills and certainly triggered some changes in my methods. Time very well spent, thank you! Joy

Mike, thanks for the continuing eduction. Dr Ellie Drake gave us a lot to think about.
Until hearing Dr Drake talk I probable did realize I was giving enough attention to improving my listening skills, let alone word skills/

Hi Mike: It was just an inspiration listening to Ellie Drake. She does have profound wisdom beyond her years. She was a speaker you could listen to intently for 2 hours. I know this cost you money out of your pocket, but her training in listening skills was outstanding, and free to us. Everyone has to listen to this. Thanks Mike, it was appreciated, and worth the hour.

Thank you Mike and DiDi for this great webinar. First, I'm so glad you sent the reminder emails on friday. Second, Ellie Drake gave a wonderful heart felt talk. I took notes I have looked over several times so I can apply the visceral feeling to my day. She felt like the missing link for me to connect everything I have been learning the last year. I immediately signed up for her sites and they are a wealth of information. I look forward to growing more there.
Thank you again

Ellie Drake blew me away, without a doubt! She showed me what I am definitely lacking as a coach...as an individual. I have been on countless webinars on every topic linked to marketing, and many of them were first class webinars. I will have to say that I walked away from this webinar wanting so much more. I think that I could have listened to Ellie all day long. You know I even caught myself posturing my sitting position and pointing my toes straight ahead as she was telling of the effects that it has on your voice and the way the listener preceives it. Awesome!!!

I have gone to her website Http://braveheartview.com and have actually gone through several of the interviews...and oh my goodness it is packed with incredible content. I cannot thank you enough Mike for placing her skills into my life for me to listen to, learn from, train by, and grow with!

One last thing for Dr.Ellie Drake I want to say "Thank You" for opening my eyes and I thank God for instilling this passion in you at the early age, giving you the time that you took to learn these skills. You have so gracefully mastered them and bring them to the world in away that makes them eager for more!

Be Blessed,
Sherry Prince

I caught the whole thing and I would like to say I was very pleased. I took a page full of notes. She taught me how to listen better with perhaps a different train of thought while doing so as to help the person I am listening to feel at ease to open up more to me!

Ellie is truly a gifted woman in her intuitive ability to hear beyond the words that are spoken.

She is a woman who knows her destiny, who leads from a personal inner strength that is built from living through hardship. She has a vision and mission that exudes her writing, speaking, her being.

I attended a couple of BraveHeartWomen events and watched the room sit up straighter; dance in freedom; celebrate Ellie presenting in barefeet because it was more comfortable.

Each person touched by Ellie's life knows that someone special walked beside them for a distance.

We have much to learn from her yet.

I think we all know that good relationships are key to success, and you can't have strong relationships without strong communication and listening skills.
Setting up this event, and being able to learn from Ellie was a wonderful gift. I took a lot from it and appreciate the way Ellie shared herself with all of us.
Thanks Mike... I know you know we needed it!

One point that helped me was the fact that asking certain questions takes the client to the wrong place psychologically. Knowing the right question is a skill, but at least being aware that your questions create an emotional reaction can be useful to me immediately, when i make my next business call. A fabulous call.
