Building on a Budget with Hub Pages and Squidoo - Powerful Content Sharing Internet Marketing Strategies
Content sharing is a powerful way to jump into Internet marketing with both feet.
Basically, content sharing can be a very general term to describe all the web 2.0 marketing methods that allow you to share 'content' like articles, video, blogs, etc... and then to have people find that and then find you (or your lead capture page).
But for the sake of breaking Web 2.0 into categories so it's easier to describe, we're using 'content sharing' to frame sites like Squidoo and Hub Pages.
Squidoo and Hub Pages
Squidoo and Hub Pages are separate companies that provide similar platforms. Someone who knows nothing about the Internet or techie stuff can go to these two places and start putting out web sites in 20 minutes... over and over. They can then start seeing their content show up on search engines at Yahoo, Google and elsewhere.
You can also start getting a lot of visits from the content sites themselves as their communities are large and search for related stuff right there... and when they do they can find you.
You can link to lead capture pages, and provide ways for people to contact you. This is the basis of attraction marketing.
Here is a great example of one of our members who created her first Hub Page after going through our tutorials. I also noticed she has started applying other lessons in our tutorials because I found her Squidoo site on the first page of Yahoo for a very competitive key word.
