Renegade Professionals -- New Lead Capture Page & More Value to Offer

Hi everyone,

Note that in your Renegade Professional back office you'll find a new lead capture page that you can promote through Twitter, your blog, your list, etc to give more value to your lists and increase your credibility ranking.

This one is on Word Press. 

To view the lead capture page log into your back office and click on Attraction Marketing, then on Lead Capture pages.  It's at the bottom of that page.  You can  promote that link and the leads will show up in your Referrals list (in a new section).

We'll be doing events like this regularly to highlight other trainers who have a lot to offer, while giving you the ability to leverage that training to give more value to your lists and generate more leads.

This is just the start of it.  We'll be developing this out going forward.

Advantage Goes to The Summer Business Builder

Most know that the summer months are a time of business slow down, particularly in the home-based business world.

But know this:

If you can find a way to actually put your foot on the gas and work harder in the summer months, you'll be rewarded come Fall.  You'll be in momentum while others are clumsily trying to get traction.  Since business is all about standing out from the crowd, you will have gained a significant advantage.

How A 36" Cord Can Strangle Your Success -- IF You Let It...

Our retention rate at Renegade Professional is exceptionally high (meaning, a high number of our students stay long-term), and the Success They See is inspiring.

So why would anyone quit?

I wanted to find out so I started asking.

Here's what I learned

Beware of the 36" Cord...

Some people who left before they started said that the training videos didn't play smoothly enough.

OK. 

So I asked them, "Did you contact the support desk and seek some help with that?"

Some did but most didn't even bother.  If it required any level of problem solving most ran for the hills.

Come to find out, most of these people had a bad wireless Internet connection and just didn't know it.

(While you might be able to watch a 10 Minute video on YouTube or use the net without noticing a problem ordinarily, you'll need a solid connection if you're going to be learning in a class-like setting like  at Renegade Professional).

If you watch long educational style videos like we have (1 hour or longer) you need a good connection.

The Simple Solution:

Get a 36" USB cord and plug it directly into your modem/router and computer (any length of USB cord will do the trick).  This will give you a far better Internet connection.  You'll notice everything on the net will go faster and work better. 

Call your Internet Service Provider for any needed help.  Ask others for help.

Problem solved.

Now you can watch the educational videos with no interruption and start attracting prospects, build your business and live your dreams in THIS century!

What Might Be "YOUR" 36-Inch Cord?

What might stop YOU?

Is it your work schedule? 

Is it that you feel overwhelmed? 

Is it that you aren't comfortable learning how to write or be in a video? 

Is it that your computer keeps crashing? 

Is it that life is just not fair?

Maybe it's that you did a little spurt of hard work and didn't hit the jackpot yet--you feel burned out?

In fact, this is the #1 reason I heard people quit!

In most cases this was because they were copying and pasting their username or password with an extra space in it. That extra space prevented them from logging in!

But instead of contacting the support desk at support@marketingmerge.com or contacting their guide (the person who referred them)... or just going to Google to search for help from other Renegade Professionals, they quit instead. 

Before they had even gotten started.

Achieving success is nothing more than heading in the right direction and then solving one problem after another.

That's literally IT.

The more willing you are to solve problems the faster success will arrive for you (whether that's dealing with your computer crashing or your spouse yelling at you for working too much behind the keyboard).

It really is that simple.

And since we already know Renegade Professional has you going in the right direction as we look at other Successful Students who followed through on their commitment, the LAST thing you want to do is avoid solving problems.  Because that's all that is left to be done.

Your success won't come easier through some 'magical system' -- you are staring reality dead in the face right now.  Learn how to attract prospects and develop your business.  Overcome any challenges that get in the way.  Everyone will have their own challenges to overcome.  That's what you'll end up calling YOUR STORY when we interview you and share your success with others.

Have you taken the first step yet, that you were instructed to do?

In the Start Here Checklist in your Renegade Professional Backoffice you were asked to take some time to just poke around the back office.  Did you do that? 

Next, you were asked to simply follow one video tutorial after another, until you hit your Magical Moment... where it all starts to unfold.

Follow through.

Log into your back office.  Get through the 90 day checklist, one step at a time, one video at a time, solving one problem after another. 

Once you're moving in the right direction, which you now are, problem solving and learning new things is all that's left.

You can make this happen.  It's not a complicated process anymore.

How to Improve the Quality of Your Leads

Some of my best training content comes out of answering questions I receive from students at Renegade Professional.

Here's an exchange that shares how Iwas able to attract HIGHQUALITY leads that allowed me to enroll more people (action takers) in less time.

Ireceived this email the other day from a student of Renegade Professional:

 

Hi Mike,

I now generate lots of leads but I find it extremely time consuming to sort through all of them. I sponsor 25% of those who review the information about my company. And these are not MLMers.

I'm able to reach by phone 47% of the lead I generate. 95% of the people I talk to say they're going to review the videos I recommend them. I have them review Tim Sales's Brilliant Compensation online and then follow-up with a phone call (50% really review it because I'm able to reach them back and confirm that they watched it), I send them an e-mail about my company, follow-up (55% have reviewed my company info). And I sponsor 25% of those who reviewed the information.

Do you suggest anything else to me in that regard?

It takes a lot of drive to get back on the phone each day and do the numbers again. Do you do this too or you have other ways that make it less demanding?

Also, a very small number of people that I sponsor actually end up doing something. What are your stats? How many do you need to sponsor to find someone that will really work towards a leadership position?

Do you think that doing meetings on a regular basis locally would improve the number of people doing the business? I hear all the time that belief is crucial and events build that belief. What do you think?

How many leads are you generating on average per week or month?

Stephane's Reply:

10-15 per day.

I used to pay 5$ per lead. I pay nothing for those.

These leads are not Network Marketers. These are people in transition, looking for a career change.

I get 2-5 networker leads per day.

I hear people sponsoring 10-15 per month. I'm far from that, here's the reason:

With all the follow-up I have to do, my pipeline is filled after a week of work. I have no more time free to call my new leads that come in each day.

What do you suggest I do?

I have some very specific thoughts already, but it’s always best to first gather more information before shooting off suggestions.

Are you using PPC or solely social media? I know you said you don’t pay anything but that could have meant you’re using PPC and have a funded proposal of some kind offsetting cost.

Let me know and I should be able to reply with a suggestion.

I use classified ads.

For mlm leads, they come from social media.

My Final Response &Advice:

 

Hi Stephane,

I was in the same boat you’re describing during many of my most active network marketing building days.

I should note I no longer do network marketing because I am now building new businesses with more ease and leverage, and on a personal note, it’s more fulfilling for me.

Network marketing will require a lot of repetitive grunt work.

After 14 years at it, I lost interest in networking with people who didn’t share the same values or mindset I have (... "going through the numbers" means networking with a lot of the wrong people; for me now, I am networking only with the best mindsets, and its more rewarding for me).

But, everyone has different business goals and preferences.

If you’re building a networking business you definitely have to accept that there will be a lot of networking (much time spent) just talking with the wrong people.

But here’s what I suggest you do, which I did in the past to address this issue head-on. Doing this can have a dramatic improvement on the ‘time wasting’ problem you described, and allow you to network with much higher quality people, saving time and getting you more results.

It may seem obvious and overly simplistic but the solutions usually are.

The Solution:

Qualify the people better before they can talk to you

Right now, you’re simply generating more prospects than you can reasonably work with. Therefore, it’s only logical that you would create more qualifiers (either with the message you use in your copy or by giving them more hoops to jump through) so that the people you speak with are much more READY to join.

Tweaking The Copy:

Depending on your advertising or sales copy, you can use pre-qualifying statements like, “Please do not fill out this form if you do not have at least $1500 to invest into your business.” That is just an example. You can use pre-qualifying statements on your lead capture page that weed out people with negative mindsets too.

You will want to test out different things and make this a study.

It can be fun to change one little line on your lead capture page or ad, for example, and then take note of the drop or increase in leads, and more importantly here, the different type of person you are attracting. Create a list of qualities of the ideal prospect and as you play with the pre-qualifying statements or slight tweaks in your language, measure and observe how many prospects you get who match the characteristics you are looking for.

Another thing to test would be where you generate the lead. You mentioned you’re using classified ads, so I would test other classified ad locations and see how that may impact the quality of prospect as well. Again, paying more for lead is a good thing if it saves you time and gets you more results.

Giving Them Hoops To Jump Through:

Depending on your marketing funnel (process from point A to point Z that your prospect goes through to become a lead), you can set up different “hoops” for them to jump through to qualify them in the same way as you can do through the copy.

As an example, I’ll reflect back to 1996 with a fax blasting system I started, in the olden days when that was a somewhat acceptable way to attract leads.

Here’s how it worked:

Back in the 1990’s, people used fax machines a lot more. (This was obviously before the age of the Internet, but the strategy I used here can apply to the present).

Many prospects who were contacted through either the cold or warm markets were referred to fax-on-demand documents where they could call a phone number and receive a fax back automatically, with a presentation about an opportunity.

I was buying leads from the companies who owned these fax on demand services. They knew the fax numbers of the network marketers who downloaded previous network marketing related fax on demand presentations.

I would load their numbers into my computer and using a simple fax blasting software, send a letter every Friday to about a 1000 of these leads (Sprint had a special long distance thing going on called Free Fridays so I didn’t have to pay a cent for the long distance calls I’d be making all day long... back then long distance was a big expense!)

In my fax letter they received on their fax machines, they were instructed to download a fax on demand presentation. It was a 7 page document pre-selling them on my opportunity. But here’s where I put in an extra “hoop” they had to jump through to address the very issue you’ve described (I didn’t want to talk to too many ‘bad’ prospects)...

So at the end of the 7 page presentation, there was a little form to fill out and send in the mail to me with $5, so I could then send them an “Information Pack,” which was really the same materials that most people in my company gave away to prospects! I got about 10 leads a week. I enrolled half of them. This allowed me to enroll about 20 people per month. I trained these people to follow the same system and this is how I grew to a 600 downline in a few months.

We ended up using up all the fax leads in the U.S so I had to find new ways of attracting prospects; however, I never stopped applying the same principle and would always create different types of pre-qualifiers and ‘hoops’ for prospects to jump through so I was dealing with smaller numbers that were highly qualified.

Make a game out of it. Test out different ways of attracting out only the most committed and interested. Don’t be afraid to actually make it harder for them to get on the list, as long as the copy you use to do that (or the hoop you make them jump through) is likely to attract better quality people, which means people showing a greater willingness to be coachable, and take action, and who don’t mind being challenged.

The way you model this will differ in the details, but ultimately, you can apply this to any offline and/or online marketing funnel.

Remember, Renegade Professional is designed so you can go at your own pace.  If you have a tough schedule, (like you're a single parent of two young children working two jobs, with no help from anyone) then you have to be realistic.  In that kind of a situation, the 90 day check list is more realistic as an 18 month check list. 

The bottom line is this --

THAT check list will move you to where you want to go faster than reading any number of books and buying any number of independent training courses that you pick up along the way.  It will certainly move you exponentially faster to business achievement over learning through your own trial and error.

That check list will develop your skills, confidence and allow others to be attracted to your new-found competencies that show YOU are a person to do business with!

Where will you be in 2 years? 

You'll either be where you are now more or less, or you will have grown significantly, and will be living a life close to what presently seems to some like a dream (particularly to friends and relatives).  Hopefully to you its a dream you know can come true, because it can and IS for many people at Renegade Professional who find a way, THEIR WAY, to follow through. 

If you do your best to follow the check list, even a single parent with no help raising two young children carrying two jobs can get through that check list and prevail. 

Most people will have it easier than that.  90 days is the fastest I can imagine someone can move through the check list... if that was you, you got an A+ and made commitments regardless of your situation.

Let Your Audience Know About the Bonuses For Early Birds Who Enroll On Monday

If you plan to let others know about the Renegade Professional reopening on the 22nd, be sure to inform them of the bonuses that'll be given to the early enrollers.

Also, in case you missed it, you might want to also let them see some of the results new students have gotten who registered in April.

Don't sell--inform!  Provide value inbetween.  The list grows.  Your credibility grows.  The number of people approaching you grows (or who are receptive to you approaching them to further assist)...

The bottom line... Your business grows.  It's not rocket science, it's just a long term commitment to what actually builds a business, no matter what business you're in.  Give value and attract customers and partners.

Squidoo Makes Policy Changes

I received an email from Squidoo, like many of you may have, explaining new changes to their policies.  There's nothing striking, just  moving us more toward a value based Internet as we've been teaching it will continue to move to.  But I suggest all who use Squidoo review the new policies.

Someone from our own community, Shelly Begarowicz (AKA "The Rat Race Rebel") already posted this on their blog saving me some time!  Thanks Shelly! That's a great way to Leverage the News!!

Many of you may already know this but for those who don't, it's a big tip that can get your business off the ground:

Urgent - If You Use Facebook!

You've likely heard about this already but I wanted to get this out here in case. 

There might still be time for you to grab your name on Facebook. 

Below is an email from Don Crowther of StomperNet about why you should take action on this as quickly as possible.

Note that you can do this now (this email is already 1 day old).

This is IMPORTANT and you need to know about it RIGHT AWAY.

Tonight Facebook is staging one of the biggest virtual land grabs ever - the rush to claim your own name on Facebook.com.

You've heard of Internet Marketers claiming that the surge of traffic crashed their servers?

Well tonight there will be a server rush that has rarely, if ever, been duplicated on the Net. And you NEED to be part of it.

Right now if you want to send someone to your profile, you have to figure out a URL that looks something like this:

www.facebook.com/people/Your-Name/585946540
(That's an inactive URL, BTW, so don't click it.)

But wouldn't you rather own www.facebook.com/yourname?

And this becomes even MORE important for Facebook Fan Pages (not your regular friend profiles, the pages you can set up to promote your business.) Can you imagine how devastating it would be to have someone else own your company name in Facebook?

In the past, it was easy to own your own name on Facebook, all you had to do was to spend a large amount with Facebook (think $50,000+ per month) or be a huge celebrity, and it was yours.

But starting tonight at midnight Eastern US time (that would be 9:00pm Pacific time) you can claim your name as a facebook URL. Plus, you can claim names for your business pages too.

But here's the catch - it's first come, first serve. Imagine a couple of hundred MILLION people all try to grab their name at the same time, and there will be some interesting server shenanigans occuring.

Here's what to do.

Tonight at midnight US Eastern time, login to Facebook then go to http://www.facebook.com/username

You will see a form that will give you several suggested usernames, and the ability to choose your own. Either choose one of the names suggested or type in your own.

Repeat this process for any Facebook Fan Pages you administer, though there are three catches: first, your page must have over 1000 fans prior to May 31st 2009, you can't claim something generic like travel or insurance, and you can't claim someone else's trademark.

In fact, if you have a registered trademark, I suggest you go to
http://www.facebook.com/help/contact.php?show_form=username_rights
right now to prevent others from grabbing your name.

If someone else has already has your name, get creative - add a period, or a dash, shorten it, lengthen it, or slap a number in there somewhere.

That's the drill. I'll be there at midnight, and I suggest you be there too.

And bring a book, the page refresh times may be really sllllloooooowwww.

Earning Commissions With Renegade Professional ($114,933 Paid In April)

When you refer someone to Renegade Professional you get paid a monthly commission. That's not the main reason we want you refering people, which is why we don't talk about our affiliate program publicly too often.

But we were so impressed with what we saw this month, and how this is positively impacting people in their business, we wanted to share what's going on.

Checks this month varied from $50 to $6000+.  What's surprising is how many people earned $1000--$5000. That's pretty remarkable considering that it's not a primary income source and much of it is residual (meaning most will be getting paid again next month and the next and the next and so on, even if they don't refer anyone for a while!)

$114,933 Paid In One Month

The total commissions paid out for the month was $114,933 and the amazing thing is we're just getting started. This is quite an impact because this is income people make while generating leads and attracting relationships that can be cultivated into clients, collaborations, JV's and downline for your PRIMARY business; and who are likely to purchase from you again and again in the future when you recommend other products or services to them.

Whether you're just getting started or are an experienced marketer, congratulations on your hard work and progress.

Remember to celebrate every step!

That's definitely something I've found to make a big difference in my business--I always got excited about every tiny positive thing I was doing (whether it was getting my first video online, or seeing someone I was helping post their first Squidoo). I got really excited about $10 checks in the mail that I made while building my first list! THAT is a major factor in why they are now in the tens of thousands per month (and soon to be in the hundreds of thousands, because I just keep building upon my previous steps--it all started with 10 bucks and my first attracted prospect).

This attitude is key to finding the energy to grow, building upon each success from the day before. It's also the KEY to inspiring others to take action, which you MUST be doing if you want to see the big growth in your organization.

Of course you don't have to recommend Renegade Professional in order to benefit but the extra monthly commissions are certainly giving a lot of people a big boost!

Renegade Professional Re-opening In Two Weeks

The exact date isn't set, but Renegade Professional IS re-opening its doors to new students in Mid June.

If you're with Renegade Professional now here's my suggestion:

Take everything you know (even if you think it's not much) and focus on providing as much valuable content as you can to attract people seeking a guide in Attraction Marketing.

Offer assistance, help, coaching--and if you're fairly new yourself--offer your sincere willingness to teach them what you've learned OR what you will be learning... offer collaboration.

THESE are the qualities that will attract a large following.

Giving value means a sincere willingness to help people move forward and succeed.  Advertise your WILLINGNESS to assist them first (instead of advertising your program or product first) and you'll grow your leads list, earn additional affiliate commissions and attract quality business relationships, some of which will last a life time.

About two weeks to reopenning -- get your 'willingness' and content out there... network, connect, offer something.  Assist others in ways that you presently CAN. 

Do this and you'll grow in June!

Getting Results with Face Book and Twitter

From time to time I check my messages in Facebook. Today I found a message from one of our students. He's gone through the "Facebook" section at Renegade Professional and while he's learned how to use it to start adding people into his 'network,' he was stuck.

He writes:

"Hi Mike. I'm lost. Have gone through all of the facebook tutorials. I still don't understand "how" I attract or approach people through facebook. Am I contacting them, do I post things, not sure. Any direction would be great."

My response:

Facebook is a "fishing pool" tool as I like to call it. It's not where you provide the BULK of your valuable content, but a place where you build a following as you've started to do by friending like-minded people... and then when you post videos, photos or text messages with a link to a blog post or video or lead capture page, you end up directing your audience to wherever it is you choose.

I consider the photos, videos, and text messages as the 'Attractive Bait' you use in the fishing pool, which gets people's attention and directs them to either more valuable content, and to a lead capture or sales page where you generate leads and monetize (and put people into an email system that continues to lead them to you).

You can also add your phone number at the end of your videos or on your text messages and will get phone calls, if that is something you decide you want. However, this will only be effective if you have established yourself there over time by giving value and getting known (called branding).

This is the same way you would use Twitter.

You can't expect people to want to do business with you just because you have a Facebook account. Millions have an account. You have to use this tool to just get people's attention and lead them to "greater" levels of value you offer.  In order to do that, you need to have 'set up' some value elsewhere now, so you can direct your audience at Facebook or Twitter to it.

You have to use FB and Twitter along with the other social marketing tools and strategies we are teaching in Renegade Professional--you can't use FB by itself. It's a component of an overall plan.

Have you created any content (article, video, anything like that) of which your audience would be interested in?

Have you identified your target audience and their needs?

Do you have a place to lead them (lead capture or sales page)to collect their information and have you set up an email follow up system.

These are the other sections at Renegade Professional you have to set up, just as we're showing. Follow the 90 day action guide and follow through on all of it, not only the Facebook tutorial section.

There is a way to give value at Facebook through setting up a group--this is where people can join who share a common interest and you can moderate the group's discussion. It allows you to communicate with a much larger group of 'targeted' people as the group grows.

I suggest you hunt down Shelly Begarowicz (she calls herself the Rat Race Rebel) -- google her and find her. She has used Facebook groups to build a big list and has started to really get things rockin'. Reach out and connect with others successfully using tools like Facebook and you'll get ideas. Collaborate, connect, 'network'!

The tutorials get you started, plugged in and comfortable with the tools, but then you have to put 'YOU' into the plan.

Start from the beginning at Renegade Professional. Don't focus on only one small piece of it (like Facebook and Twitter). Those work in harmony with setting up a blog or using other social marketing tools to provide value that attracts people to your business.

I suggest you start by reviewing "The 7 Lessons to Attract Prospects to You," which is in Renegade Professional, but also a free resource (search on Google). This gets you started with identifying your target audience and their needs. Without knowing that, you cannot attract a significant number of people through Facebook, Twitter, PPC or anywhere else.
